Download Petramond Explore the source-build guideInstalling on a Mac
Petramond isn’t signed with an Apple developer account, so macOS blocks it when it comes from your browser. The easy way around that: open Terminal and paste this line. It installs the newest version into Applications, and it opens without a warning.

Rather use the download button?
- Open the download and drag Petramond into your Applications folder.
- Double-click Petramond. macOS says it can’t verify the app. Click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to the message about Petramond. Confirm with your password. You only have to do this once.
Not sure which processor you have?
On macOS, open “About This Mac”: an Apple chip means ARM / Apple Silicon; Intel means Intel / AMD 64-bit. On Windows, check Settings → System → About → System type. Linux usually reports x86_64 or aarch64 in its system information.

Your worlds stay yours
Worlds are saved on your own computer, not on someone else’s server. There’s nothing to sign in to and nothing to renew.
Your profile is separate
You can claim a username and make a website profile now. In-game account linking will come later; a website account isn’t a game download or a multiplayer login.
